in a little girl's room, in a far off corner of the universe ... what appears to be, an empty fish tank. but, in fact, a magical fish tank. where, invisible to mortal eyes, shape-shifting mermaids like to mimic and take on the shape of things around them in the room ... like a flowering "christmas cactus" on the table next to them. even mimicking the plant's leaves, as fish.

thank you! i simply used the colors of the flowering plant, and let my imagination loose. i could do many more versions of this i suppose.
