gift art for shreya...who rekindled my interest in ancient egypt again. quite an involved pic, actually. started off as a depiction of the goddess Nut, with a young prototype Anubis. but it made me think of the sphinx a lot...only to find out, there really are a lot of female "sphinxs" out there. and shreya pointed out the similarities to The Priestess in the Tarot...and the tree of life in the Quaballah. so there's a lot going on here!
