do you believe in fairies? no? why not? oh, because you can't see them?
well, can you see atoms? no? …then how do you know it really exists?
and have you ever seen electricity? no? ...yet you believe it cuz you're on facebook?
and how about air; can you see air? no? ...than how can you believe that exists?
how about "life" itself, can you see it? no? ...yet you believe you're alive?
can you see the contradictions in your beliefs? well, let me help you ...
you believe cuz you can witness it's effects. you can't see air, but it can pick you up
and throw you a mile away, right? are we believing in fairies yet?
when your "fairy" leaves your body, it's utterly useless…like, "dead"…right?
i think science really is in the dark about reality. at least primitive peoples knew
the difference between life and death. we need a "pagan" renaissance, to debunk
the myths and confusion wrought by the "age of reason". science has been taking
the wonder and magic out of life for years. it's time to take it back! dare to believe!

a little story
hi. if anyone’s been by lately and noticed no recent activity, i’ve been busy working on my first humble attempt at a children’s story … a little story i wrote and illustrated for the daughter of a friend of mine, who was grieving the loss of her pet rabbit. it’s very short (only eight pages), but enough to get the message across, i suppose. also making lots of birthday cards for friends, and craftsy kinds of things, like fairy paper dolls, etc. just wanted to let you know i’ll be back to my mermaids and fairies soon, and that i haven’t abandoned DA ^^
um, yeah … for what it’s worth i’m posting my very un-professional little story here ^^: it’s called Bunny Moon.
a note about my mermaids
my mermaids are not traditional. that means they are not half-fish and half-human. (they do not smell like fish or have scales) they have both human and marine characteristics, but they are much freer to interpret and express themselves in the watery realm. they are, in fact, shape-shifters … often imitating or mimicking their surroundings. they can choose to look like leaves, flowers, butterflies, or anything else that may appear around them … even some of the flowing skirts humans wear. (they can be quite fashionable) there’s actually no limit to what they can be. they can mirror the world itself, if they choose to. the laws that govern their world are quite different than ours.
i love out-of-the-box mermaids, and am always looking for inspiration from many of the amazing artists here in DA. and i would love it if you had any to share ^_^

why not just get a new browser? well, besides having to buy a new computer, all the new browsers only have a DO NOT TRACK request button, which is ignored by all the advertisers and servers. you can no longer turn off your cookies, like i still can ... on my current comp. all devices are now data-gathering tools. and maybe most people can't understand what that means, but i certainly don't want to be a victim down the road someday. the net is going down, hard. but till then, i'll keep trying to upload new stuff.
the net created me as an artist, because i had other people to share my fantasies with. but when i can no longer do that, i'll probably stop drawing altogether. i can't find another great online gallery like this one. it has been good, but how much longer?
